QUATSCH! a lecture by Anna Bromley
Q is for quotidian which means the ordinary, the trivial, the mundane.
U is an an abbreviation for “you” in casual written language, especially in the social media.
A is an indefinite article in English. It refers to a person or thing that is not identified.
T is used in spoken English as part of a contraction of the word „not“.
Sch is a German phonem. It means to tell someone to calm down, or to be quiet.

When reading your call for projects among my emails and its thematic perspective towards the „senseless“, I thought that this might be the perfect realm for writing a chapter of my book on the practise and aesthetics of silliness… more>
Anna Bromley develops exhibitions, installations, performances, texts, radio conversations and plays which address flooding, breaches and interruptions in/of representative ways of speaking and talking. Recent projects include Laugh of the Hyposubject (documenta14, with Brandon LaBelle), Dreams & Dramas – Law as Literature (nGbK Berlin: 2017), Redemption Jokes (nGbK Berlin: 2015), FXPO! (Fondazione Forma Milano: 2015), and Therapeutische Allianzen (Kampnagel Hamburg: 2014). She is the Co-Editor of the books Jokebook (2015), Glossar inflationärer Begiffe (2013), Glossario der términos inflationarios (2014).
